Petting Zoo Party

Chalin was invited to Gabby and Lilly's "Petting Zoo" B-Day Party, and he had so much fun!

Riding a pony for the first time, which he loved!

....and again....

...and again!
This picture didn't turn out well, but he really did enjoy petting the donkeys, too.
Saying hello to the bunny rabbit.

...and visiting the bunny, again.

Enjoying a wagon/hay ride given by Haddee.

Turtle, turtle

The other day while Chalin was at MDO, I found a turtle on our driveway. I decided to put him in a box with some grass and save him for Chalin to see once he got home. Chalin loved it!

"Look!"

"Turtle!"

Chalin went to touch the top of the shell, and the turtle got scared and hid in his shell. Chalin is saying, "Where did he go?!"

Notice how the box has a ton more grass in it now? Chalin thought the turtle might need some more, and by more, I mean a lot more.

Happy Mother's Day!

...yes, I'm really behind on my posts. Sorry! I wanted to share with you some of the gifts that Chalin worked so hard creating for Mother's Day.

Chalin painting the stick flowers all by himself.
(Thanks for the idea, Saradee.)

The finished product, along with fingerprint flower pencil holder jars,
which I thought turned out super cute.
I also made some flower pens to go with it.

Hand print flower on a canvas.

This is the ONLY picture I could get Chalin to take.
As you can tell, he was super excited about it, too.
In this picture we've got: Grandma DD, Mama Dolly, Uncle Justin, and us of course.

Happy Mother's Day again to all of the wonderful,
amazing moms in my life, whether you are family or friends!

New Ride

Chalin had so much fun on Easter, Daddy thought it was necessary to buy Chalin a new toy....and he LOVES it.

Excited about his surprise

"Daddy is so good at spoiling me!"

"My own 4-wheeler!"

"Look at me!"

"In case you are wondering, I picked out my 4-wheeling outfit all by myself!"

Once it is placed in 2nd speed, Chad has to jog to keep up.

Is our little boy really big enough already to have his own 4-wheeler?!?

Ring Around the Rosy

Chalin loves spending time with his friend Haddee. I think "Ring Around the Rosy" might be one of their new favorite things to play.

Ring around the rosy...

A pocketful of posies...

Ashes, ashes....

We all fall DOWN!

Sweet Sleeping Boys

Good night sweet prince

Another day is done

You laughed and you played

Now sleep little one

You need your rest
The morning draws near
Close your eyes baby boy
You have nothing to fear

Good night my son
Have the sweetest of dreams
There's no telling what pleasures
Tomorrow will bring

Sleep peaceful and sound
for when you awake
The sun will be up
A new day for the take

The time to play is done
The days gone quickly by
Go to sleep now little one
Close your precious eyes

Let the twinkling stars
Shine brightly in your dreams
Hear the quiet lullabies
The moonbeams like to sing

Angels keep close watch
As you sleep throughout the night
There to comfort and protect you
Until the new days light

Sleep in peaceful slumber
The mornings drawing near
Tomorrow is awaiting
It is almost here

Soon the sun will rise
Another day will dawn
Sleep soundly my dear baby
The night is almost gone

Very soon you'll fill
Another brand new day
With laughter and sweet joy
In your special way
